Community Outreach
Intern
I was given the opportunity to intern with the Community Outreach department at Valencia College's newest campus. The new campus opened in Poinciana, FL in Fall of 2017. Since then the campus has made great efforts to document and asses their recruitment, enrollment, and retention efforts. I was able to contribute to the new Poinciana Campus Outreach Plan that will aid the campus in increasing these efforts over the next five years. I was also able to assist with data analysis for the ETS survey that was taken by the freshman students enrolled in the New Student Experience course. I interviewed and shadowed staff and faculty within leadership roles and completed various other projects such as marketing materials and a career advising board.
